Just last month, Dylan Fitchet was playing in the Cleveland Junior Shootout, as part of the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour, at Ellsworth Meadow Golf Course in Hudson.
After shooting a 74 on the first day of competition, the Edgewood junior found himself in trouble after scoring an eight on the par 4 eighth hole on Day 2. But he regrouped and posted a 32 on the back nine, including four birdies, to fire a career-best 67 and force a playoff with Arya Achar of Concord.
Fitchet ended up winning after a one-hole playoff and taking first in the boys 16-18 age group. He was also invited to compete in the tournament of champions in Florida in December.
