LEAVITTSBUG — The Lakeview Bulldogs (2-1) got off to a slow start but eventually scored quite often to give it a 34-6 victory over the LaBrae Vikings (1-2) on Friday night.
Early on, the Bulldogs were hungry for the ball. Lakeview intercepted the first pass from LaBrae’s Kent Wolford. It only took Lakeview three plays to find the end zone.
Quarterback Zach Rogers hit wide receiver Connor Greenwood for a 4-yard touchdown that put Lakeview up 6-0 after kicker Noah Busefink missed the extra point. That was the score at the end of the first quarter. Both offenses sputtered as they combined for 39 yards and just two first downs.
