JEFFERSON — The Jefferson Falcons fought hard on their home turf, but the Poland Seminary Bulldogs simply had too much to offer in a 49-0 Bulldogs All-American Conference win on Friday night.
Led by junior quarterback Cole Kosco, senior receiver Mike Diaz and senior running back Jonah Spencer, Poland scored 28 points in the opening quarter and pushed that advantage to 42-0 by halftime.
Kosco threw for 204 yards and two touchdowns, Diaz caught four passes for 84 and Spencer ran eight times for 88, including scoring on a fumblerooski to close out the first half.
The All-American Conference is an OHSAA-sanctioned league, created in 2008 as the result of the merger between the Trumbull Athletic Conference and the Metro Athletic Conference in Ohio. The league has 21 different member schools, with 17 sports offered throughout fall, winter and spring sports seasons.
