Brett Porter give up two hits and three walks through five innings and Bobby Cavalier didn’t give up any hits and a walk in the final two innings to complete the shutout. Lorenzo Russo and Casey Bokesch each had two RBIs for the Falcons. Braden Olson and Mike Kushner each had one hit for Poland.
Southern 10, Crestview 6
The Indians scored eight runs in the top of the fifth to beat the Rebels. Josh Pratt drove in two runs and Caleb Glover picked up the win for Southern. Devin Turvey and Jordan Van Pelt each had two hits and Carter Blakeman had two RBIs for Crestview.
Canfield 9, West Branch 4
Nate Shaw earned the win, allowing four runs on five hits in 32/3 innings pitched for the Cardinals. Michael Budde pitched the remaining 31/3 innings of relief. Donavin Conrad took the loss, allowing five runs on four hits and striking out one. Dan Beistel, Dante Flak and Brayden Beck had two hits each for the Cardinals. Mason Walker had two hits and scored once for the Warriors. Tristan Ballard had a double, an RBI and a run scored.
Niles 11, Liberty 0
David Mays hit a home run and had two RBI for Niles. Chase Sudzina also drove in a pair of runs and pitched a complete game, striking out four. Shane McKelvey led Liberty with three hits.
The All-American Conference is an OHSAA-sanctioned league, created in 2008 as the result of the merger between the Trumbull Athletic Conference and the Metro Athletic Conference in Ohio. The league has 21 different member schools, with 17 sports offered throughout fall, winter and spring sports seasons.
