Brookfield and Boardman win Boys Golf Championships

The AAC Boys Golf Tournament was held on Wednesday, September 18th at the Youngstown Country Club.  There were two separate tournaments taking place, the Red Tier and the Blue Tier.

The Boardman and Brookfield boy's golf teams won their respective championships in the All American Conference tournament at the Youngstown Country Club.

Boardman won the red tier with a score of 338, including medalist Dale Nitzsky who carded an 82. Other Spartan scores were Ryan Sam (82) Justin Jones (87 and Joe Worsencraft (87.)

Fitch finished second (343), Howland (362), Canfield (373 and Warren Harding (425)

Brookfield captured the blue tier with 320, including medalist Connor Stevens 69. Others were Justin Atkinson (75), Jake Shingledecker (77) and Kenny Montgomery (99).

Finishing second was Champion (390), Newton Falls (401), Crestview (402), LaBrae (427) and Liberty (4450


All-American Conference

The All-American Conference is an OHSAA-sanctioned league, created in 2008 as the result of the merger between the Trumbull Athletic Conference and the Metro Athletic Conference in Ohio. The league has 21 different member schools, with 17 sports offered throughout fall, winter and spring sports seasons.
