The Crestview Rebels Boy's Soccer team traveled to Youngstown to take on the D2 Ursuline Irish Saturday morning.
Crestview freshman Nick Novak opened the scoring about 25 minutes into the first half off a pass from senior Dale Mcgoogan.
Ursuline scored 8 minutes into the second half to even the match at 1-1 off of a corner kick. The goal for Ursuline was scored by Mario Ruano.
With only 6 minutes left in the game, Nick Novak found sophomore Mitch Auer to break the tie. Crestview ultimately held on to win and to improve their record to 13-1 on the season.
Crestview will host Rootstown Tuesday evening at 6pm. Seniors will be honored during pregame starting at 530pm.
The All-American Conference is an OHSAA-sanctioned league, created in 2008 as the result of the merger between the Trumbull Athletic Conference and the Metro Athletic Conference in Ohio. The league has 21 different member schools, with 17 sports offered throughout fall, winter and spring sports seasons.
