The All American Conference will present a "Q & A" with one of its many gifted student-athletes from a participating AAC school. The athlete featured must excel in the classroom and shown that he/her has gone above and beyond on both the field of play and by volunteering in his/her community. This week's featured student athlete player is Konner Johnston from LaBrae Vikings.

What are your plans after graduation?
I will be attending Northwood University and majoring in Hospitality Management while being a thrower on the track and field team.
What is your favorite class?
Pre Calc is my favorite class.
What do you enjoy most about playing this sport?
Having a great friendship with all the local teams and supporting each other at each meet.
What type of volunteer work are you involved in within your community?
I volunteer at the Veterans Hospital in Cleveland and the Second Harvest Food Bank.
What is the most memorable moment in your scholastic career?
Being named Viking of the Month three times in a row.
What is your favorite sports related movie?
Greatest is my favorite movie.
Do you have any pre-game/match/meet rituals?
I listen to the same songs in the same order. That includes rap, rock and even opera. Everytime i enter the ring I look out, envision my throw and take a deep breath. I tap the toe board with my right then left foot. I set up, wind back, and let it rip.
Who has the best nickname on the team and what is it?
I do and it is Special K.
Who is your role model?
My Father, Ryan Crouser, and Joe Kovacs.
Do you have any special talents or is there something surprising about you that others might not know about you?
Just my passion for lifting and throwing. We have a lifting group that lifts at my barn and we call ourselves Barn Squad.

Are you looking to continue your playing career in college?
Yes I will be throwing for the Northwood Timberwolves for the next 4-5 years.
Do you have a field of study already chosen when you go to college? Why that field? What team do you most enthusiastically root for? (any sport)
Hospitality Management. I always had a love for cruises and this will give me a very good advantage. Ohio State for every sport. It will be scary next year rooting for the Buckeyes when Northwood is in Michigan.

The All-American Conference is an OHSAA-sanctioned league, created in 2008 as the result of the merger between the Trumbull Athletic Conference and the Metro Athletic Conference in Ohio. The league has 21 different member schools, with 17 sports offered throughout fall, winter and spring sports seasons.
