Canfield senior wrestler, Mason Giordano has verbally committed to continue his academic and wrestling career in college for NCAA Division I Cleveland State University.
Giordano finished his senior year at Canfield as a Division II state runner up at 285 pounds and recently earned All-American honors by placing at the prestigious Flonationals wrestling tournament in Pennsylvania. As team captain his senior year, Giordano, helped to lead the Cardinals to a Division II team state runner up finish at the individual state tournament. He is also an accomplished football player earning 3 varsity letters, was named team captain as a senior, and earned All-State honors during his time on the gridiron.
The Cleveland State Vikings are an NCAA division I program and are a member of the Eastern Wrestling League. Next March, the city of Cleveland and Cleveland State University will host the 2018 NCAA DI national wrestling tournament at Quicken Loans Arena.
Mason is the son of Anthony and Gina Giordano and has one sibling, Vince, who is a current sophomore at Canfield.

The All-American Conference is an OHSAA-sanctioned league, created in 2008 as the result of the merger between the Trumbull Athletic Conference and the Metro Athletic Conference in Ohio. The league has 21 different member schools, with 17 sports offered throughout fall, winter and spring sports seasons.
