Usually it’s Conner Stevens who leads Brookfield to victory.
Thursday, it was fellow junior Justin Atkinson who was the medalist at the Division III boys golf district at Tannenhauf Golf Club with a 34-38-72 in Alliance.
Stevens shot 38-36-74 to take third, while junior Anthony Clark took seventh with 38-40-78 and senior Jon Hiner was 12th with 41-41-82.
Those four added up to a 306 and the Warriors’ third straight district title and another trip to the Division III state tournament Oct. 12-13 at NorthStar Golf Club in Sunbury, just north of Columbus. The 306 is Brookfield’s lowest team score out of the three years it has won at Tannenhauf.
