BOARDMAN — Ball control. Give the football to Warren G. Harding senior tailback Kay’Ron Adams and let the game clock keep ticking away.
It was nothing short of a given in Friday’s 17-14 Raiders victory over Boardman.
Harding began finding a semblance of the offense they’ve had through the better part of six weeks of this regular season. But Adams found yards hard to come by against a stout Boardman run defense.
Raider quarterback Elijah Taylor started to find a rhythm, including a pass over the middle to Ja’Kari Salter for 17 yards.
Harding was near midfield with 3 minutes remaining, clinging to that 3-point lead.
