NEWTON FALLS 68, LIBERTY 47: NEWTON FALLS — Adam Honeycutt scored 28 points and dished out six assists, tying the school record for 3-pointers made in a game as the Tigers claimed the All-American Conference Blue Tier game. Honeycutt tied he record set by Cody Dillon. He got scoring support from Preston Rapczak with 15 points and Gage Friend who had 12, along with nine rebounds.
The Tigers (5-4, 2-1 AAC Blue) led 20-15 after one quarter, 32-26 at halftime and 48-37 after three quarters.
Liberty (3-7, 2-1) was led by Ezell Brown with 13 points and Omarion Dawson with 12.
LABRAE 69, CAMPBELL 27: CAMPBELL — The Vikings jumped out to a 25-4 lead after one quarter and led 39-8 at halftime in the All-American Conference Blue Tier rout.
Tyler Stephens scored 18 points and Benton Tennant added 14 for LaBrae (8-1, 2-1).
BROOKFIELD 54, CRESTVIEW 50: COLUMBIANA — Brady Reichart scored 18 points and grabbed seven rebounds and Conner Stevens added 17 points as the Warriors won in an All-American Conference Blue Tier game.
The Warriors (5-4, 2-1) took a 15-5 lead after the first quarter and maintained leads of 27-21 at halftime and 35-30 after three quarters.
EDGEWOOD 65, CHAMPION 42: ASHTABULA — The Golden Flashes trailed 35-23 at halftime in the All-American Conference Blue Tier game, then were outscored, 18-1, in the third quarter.
Abe Bayus scored 10 points for Champion (6-4, 1-2) and Joe Abramovich added eight.
The All-American Conference is an OHSAA-sanctioned league, created in 2008 as the result of the merger between the Trumbull Athletic Conference and the Metro Athletic Conference in Ohio. The league has 21 different member schools, with 17 sports offered throughout fall, winter and spring sports seasons.
